WHAT IS FORTITUDE CHALLENGE?
Fortitude Challenge is a community based endurance event based in Holmfirth, Yorkshire, that is open to a small amount of the public.
We have been running the race for 2 years now and we’ll be returning for year 3 on October 9th 2027.
The race (and training) are the truest tests of character, grit and of course fortitude. If you sign up to the race you will be tested in every way physically and mentally. You will not be the same. But people keep coming back so it must be for the better.

Fortitude Challenge is back for our third year running! This time we’ve chosen to host the event in a more grueling Autumnal setting. On October 9th 2027, if you so choose, you will take part in a three stage test of endurance, grit and of course fortitude. Stage 1 is a road half-marathon. Stage 2 is a 4km fitness race. Stage 3 is an 8km trail race.
This is a community event open to the public, participant number is capped at 25 for 2027. On race day and leading up to the event we look after you like you’re one of our own athletes. Plenty freebies, food after the race and of course your finisher medal and participation t-shirt.
